They can track whether you leave the ground early and you lose points if you do.

They also have a smoke detector that activates once you swipe your card and enter. Should it detect smoke it alerts Showsec who have a mini radar to track the culprit down.
It also has technology called a v-chip in it which recognises if you swear and gives you an electric shock. The card recharges its battery used to deliver the shocks from the kinetic and static energy generated during the Poznan.

will mean you have to pay £50+ for a replacement should you lose or damage it

I hope we havent given Cook too many ideas for next season.

if you stand up, it sends a message to the showsec gorillas who will politely throw you and your kids out of the ground for causing such grave civil disobedience. peter fletcher then cancels your season card and you have to beg him and say sorry like brian clough made them fans do. you have been warned

Also has a sound detector that's sensitive to the "boo". Apparently an arm comes out of the card grabs you by the collar and procedes to kick your arse out of the ground.

Alright I may have embelished with the "kick" but the rest is true.....

It also entitles you to two fuck ups per season by the ticket office

bloody hell September to May will seem like forever then hahaha!

Ok serious answer here..the new card embraces the new "augmented reality" technology, which basically means that just by holding your card over a webcam or iphone, the code on the card is decrypted, and a message is transmitted directly to Hollands. Within 3 hours a Balti Pie will be delivered to your door. ( Superbia get one without sultana's). Fact

Is anybody else as useless as me and unable to get the AR working?

Can anyone give me any tips? Please.
It's not only you I keep waving the card in front of the web cam and nothing couldn't get the fa cup thing to work either

Thanks - I'm giving up on it now - spent too long waving it in front of my laptop and phone like an idiot.....I'm sure the video on the website is a few people having a laugh at my expense.

Ok, the cards use RFID. Now I've had some exposure to this as my workplace released an RFID machine around 2 years ago.

Basically, you can shine the cards up to an RFID reader at a close distance and you can do allsorts. So could be many uses: -

- Purchasing goods by topping up your seasoncard (This has been discussed many a time on here as a way of speeding up matchday service at the bars/food stalls).
- Entering competitions.
- Logging into touch screen ticket booths to purchase tickets at the ground, relieving queues at the ticket office windows (something for the future? I have personally suggested this to the powers that be).

I'm not sure if last seasons cards use RFID, but the technology is quite flexible in terms of making it easier for the club to introduce new systems to improve service in the future.

you are using it here aren't you ?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Tickets-and-Membership/AR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Tickets-and-Membership/AR</a>

scroll down the page and wait for it to load. then click allow (in the little box) your webcam will now launch and there will be a box in the middle of the screen to line you members card up to. the trick is to hold it quite close to your webcam while keeping it within the boundaries of the box on the screen. ( get it close and then slowly move it away until a picture appears on the screen)
