It's a week before we play Madrid, and has been mentioned before, we play Stoke on Saturday.

Assuming all currently fit players remain so, we should have enough to beat Stoke (although we have not beaten them at the Britannia in the Prem). We should be able to give a good account of ourselves in Madrid. I am not suggesting that we go hung ho, but that they have not started particularly well, and any team in world football would be wary of Tevez, Silva, Nasri and Yaya.

Who cares about that the first job of a full back is to defend.

thats true at a low table team. top team's players must be able to offend , able to build the game , not just to destroy it. the defenders too.

It pains me to say it but push Lescott to left back and stick kolo in the middle just make Garcia Rodwell Yaya and Tevez and the all the fans at the match fill the gap when Kolo decides he is a centre forward

Quick question; why is that game the game that made the difference between us winning or not winning the PL? Why not the come from behind win against Chelsea, or the draw at Stoke? I won't even mention the 1-0 against the vermin at the end of April, or the 3-2. I can see your point re. a possible momentum shift after the Sunderland game. But when push comes to shove it was only one point gained, the same as the Stoke game or two points less than the Chelsea game. You see where I'm coming from? It's impossible to say that game A, B, C or whatever won us the league.
