Natural cycles. You'll have a point when you can show that that occurred over the course of 50 years and not 5000 years.
Can you actually show that the last 10000 years are not having an effect of the rate of melting today?
You have a huge block of ice, and you start melting it gradually, the smaller it gets it faster it starts melting.
