Anyone else rate him and think he could do a job for us?

We havn't got anyone similar,a no nonsense midfielder/secondary striker with superb aerial ability.His timing is superb and he links midfield and attack as good as anyone.

He wouldn't cost a great deal(fee and wage) still 28 and contracted till end of 2013.

I think him,Samba and Ba would be excellent 'budget' signings and superb squad players.

He wouldn't cost much for a good reason! NEXT!!!!!!!!!!
 
As he's 28 no; but only for that reason.

I wonder if people's opinions of him would be any different if he was South American rather than from the US? Quite possibly the most underrated player in the league for the past 4 or 5 years.
 
What is the point in signing him?
A good player yes, but not better than any of our current 25. So he would be played in the Carling and FA cup?

Not going to leave Fulham to do that?

Had Dempsey in my sun dreamteam but only because he was in europa cup with fulham and scored me lots of extra points playing in those games.
He was out as soon as Fulham went out.
Average player in a crap team.

Clint Dempsey is an established prem league player whom would expect to play first team football and coming to City as a 4th choice striker is hardly going to help him get lots of first team football

Ba is the same his career is taking off scoring lots of goals he aont coming here

Samba however is a good call but would Blackburn sell - there would be fookin riots as that would almost certainly mean relegation.

I really cant see us buying an establised premiership player signings more likely from overseas
 
My opinion hasn't changed,the lad is quality,he destroyed the barcodes yesterday and in doing so made it 15 for the season so far.

A versatile,intelligent and powerful player who would offer us far more than one or two of our current first teamers.

really rated this guy for a long time,wouldn't cost the world and knows the prem...

I will probably get slated but I think he would fit in well.

i agree. if that was rooney scored them goals everyone would be raving, his power in the run for 2 of them and finish were actually very similar to the ork at his best
