ESPN has only regularly shown Premier League games for the last three seasons. Had to have Fox Soccer before to watch any at all, though it is increasingly inexpensive in cable "sports channel" packages.

Soccer is currently blowing right the fuck up over here, at all levels. Even MLS is doing quite well.

As recent as 2000, you had to be able to get Sky on satellite to watch Premier League matches, or find an English or Irish pub that showed football. That is what led me to City is some Mancunian mates that had Sky. I really don't recall seeing it on ESPN until recent years.
