Clinton v Trump debate - 2am BBC News 24

The president does, however the two-man rule applies so the Secretary of Defence also needs to authenticate before use.

If the Sec Def refuses the order, the President can fire them on the spot and appoint someone else to the post.

"However, Section 4 of the 25th Amendment of the Constitution allows for the vice president, together with a majority of cabinet heads or Congress, to declare the President disabled or unfit to execute the duties of the office. If an order to launch is considered to be without merit that would be grounds to evoke section 4 of the 25th Amendment. Government officials are required to not comply with an order that violates the law, even if that means defying a presidential order."

Yep, I know all that but the fact remains that the one person who could authorise the use of US nuclear weapons could well be Donald Trump.

What type of people would he be likely to appoint to senior roles in his government? Can't see any peaceniks being in there somehow :)

I managed to watch it all this afternoon, Trump started ok, but soon descended into shouting/talking over both Clinton and the moderator, often waffling and repeating the same words, it was clear he was thinking while he was speaking a lot of the time, which is a very worrying should he be in any sort of diplomatic situation. Debates are often the best indication of someone's leadership credentials and he clearly hasnt got what it takes to lead and to be in a position to negotiate anything with any great effect, I wouldnt say he's a fool, but he's clearly not that bright and was obviously lying quite a bit. Clinton was polished, many moons ago before she was a Clinton she was a lawyer and it shows, she beat him up in the argument repeatedly and had a good grasp of the facts most of the time, however she is just unlikable, the bit where Trump spoke a whole load of guff should have been a moment where she destroyed him, but she said wow listen to what you just heard, was a little bit creepy and not done with any style, just an air of superiority that so many hate her for, at least she didnt cough or collapse and her answer about stamina was probably her best moment.

Not that it will make any difference, most of those that watched or are bothered by the debate have already decided who they are voting for. Trump being what he is, he admitted to being a racist, tax dodging, elitist doesnt seem to bother most of the red necked bigots that are supporting him.

One thing it did was make me feel glad for Corbyn, I'm not his biggest fan but it showed we have a real choice in this country these days in comparison to the states.

Last night Drumpf claimed that he never said this. The tweet is now deleted

Hillary Clinton deleted 31,000 emails yet a deleted tweet from 2012 has got democrat panties in a twist. Clutch those straws.

Here's a list of the questions fielded specifically to each candidate last night:

15 to Trump which were very loaded questions, compared to 2 for Hillary who wasn't asked about Benghazi, health, national security.

Even the BBC has done an article questioning the questions asked.

And despite all of this Trump still won an even split of the opinion polls without even going for Hillary.

You wouldn't think it was close if you listened to the BBC this morning - no points for guessing who our impartial national broadcaster are backing!

So, it didn't end in a fight then? Disappointing.

It wasn't remotely close.

Who Really Won the Great Debate?

You will not see this analysis anywhere in the MSM or Alt Media. It goes to the very core of who these two people are.

'Conclusion
Hillary is exactly the mean-spirited, cut-throat and dangerous person she presented herself to be last night.'

You should watch yourself and decide, rather than just rely on websites to form your opinion for you. Although I guess that might be too tough for you.
