Club Brugge (H) - CL - Post-Match Thread

Worrying first half. No creativity, stray passing. Play that at OT and its over after 45minutes. Delighted with the score but feel weve lost that invicibility and teams dont fear us like they used to. KDB getting back to top form is key for us. Bernardo is immense and first on the team sheet for me.

I love Pep, he's so weird

Bit of a siege mentality feeling from that though - maybe something new has happened towards City behind the scenes

Finally lived to see Pep making some drastic tactical changes after the first half, Bernardo moving back and Gundo forward, definitely changed things, and then hooking both Grealish and Mahrez off, hahahahahahahahha, I loved it. Foden energetic as always, although not spectacular, Cancelo just showing how versatile and important he became to us, but Rodri was motm for me, the same rhythm for 90 minutes, always in control of the two acres of land he is given to take control of.

He’s struggling when he’s isolated out wide with the ball at his feet, he just doesn’t really know quite what to do. Showed with those chances he created how much more comfortable he is play a bit deeper and more central.

He's changing his game to fit with what Pep wants so he is on a learning curve: he has to judge when to pass and when to take defenders on.
