Bang on the money mate. I would actually stick to the £40 million, fuck him. He desperately wants to move, we should end his career, that will teach him. I also don't believe it has/will effect team morale and I also think that it doesn't affect negatively on us. He is the **** in all of this and the world can see it. As you have said, he needs to dance to our tune, not the other way around.

Lets face it, he put it out there that he wanted away 12 months ago. Nobody came in with a bid. Then he did his whole "I'm not going back to Manchester" nonsence in the summer. Again, nobody came in with a valid bid. Corinthians showed interest but they didn't have any money to back it up.

This January we are in the same situation, all the clubs who will show an interest in him will only be after a bargain cut price deal. I doubt that any club would fork out 25m for him now. If the highest bid in January is 15m, then I reckon we should take it and close the book on this chapter. We lost 17.5 million on Robhinio and nobody said owt about it at the time. It's only because of FFPR that anyones bothered about it now.

As has been mentioned before, this could set a precedent. In the end contracts won't be worth the paper they're written on if players can become more powerful then the club that they (supposedly) represent.

If Tevez gets away with this then every player in the country will try a similar thing. Total bloody anarchy.


We have to make a stand and send a clear message out that the club will not be held to ransom by any player - regardles of his value.
