Club promotion?

Anyone had any experience with it? Going to university soon and luckily I won't need a job however as I'm not shy of a night out, love meeting new people and I'll be studying advertisement I'm thinking I may as well give it a shot, paid to party and that? Won't be into the whole flyer handout as I don't see it as a good technique (although it can work, if done correctly) so I'd need to talk about that before accepting the offer.

I just don't see any downsides to it?

Don't really need a job.
Studying advertisement.
Love a night out.
Get paid to do the above if I do a good job.
