Same here. When they stopped you driving in and parking up outside was my last visit. Not been near it since. I now need a stick to get about, and it's too far to walk to for simply browsing around. The last thing I bought in the club shop was about 8 years ago. It was a pair of kids tracky bottoms, urgently needed as the lad had managed to throw up all over his kecks walking up Joe Mercer Way.
I remember they cost a bloody fortune, but they smelled a lot better than their predecessors. Happy days.
The customer service is awful too.
I’m bringing my daughter to a game in December (Wolves). It’s a big day, she’s never asked to come to football before and I gave her the choice of City or Guiseley. I’m guessing you know what she chose.
Wednesday I went in the shop looking for a shirt for her. Found a rail reduced to £44. Picked one up, it had Foden on the back. There were a couple of others with names on the back etc but this was her size and was the same price as the other.
Get to the counter and the girl says £59. I pointed out that it says £44.
She even spoke to someone else… nope £59.
so off I go to find a plain one… apparently because it had printing on it was 59. But the ticket said 44.
frustrating.
I thought that too but just checked and that isn't the case in law, a lot of places would honour the price as it is their mistake at the end of the day. From my experience they have to except the ticket price on the article.
To be honest I get most of my City stuff of ebay !
Classic football Shirts is pretty good if you don’t want this season’s merch. The previous season’s kit and T-shirt’s are often a fraction of the original price. From my experience they have to except the ticket price on the article.

It was disappointing. But I wasn’t in the mood for arguing. You’d think they would honour the price though. I wasn’t trying to pull a fast one neither, because I wasn’t bothered about a name etc.I thought that too but just checked and that isn't the case in law, a lot of places would honour the price as it is their mistake at the end of the day.
If you had bought it though and then they tried to tell you it was actually more then you do not have to make up the difference.

Still, as much as we move forward on the pitch etc the club remains in the dark ages in other aspects of customer service.
Dont they legally have to sell it you at price its advertised? In your case 44 quidThe customer service is awful too.
