Clubs furloughing staff

On the backtracking, they didn't do it because of their good nature,

Government: OK Levy et al you **** we will pay your staff as it is within the guidelines we gave out but you saw the loophole, our fault so we will pay.
Levy et al: Thanks didn't think you would take it so nice what's the catch if any?
Government: No catch but just say in the Summer you sell Kane for 200M or you buy any players we are going to fucking destroy you.
Levy et al: Ok, we will backtrack, didn't want it anyway.

So lasts years two champions league finalists have had a think and decided that all the tv revenue they’ve received over the last year will probably be enough to cover the relatively insignificant non-playing staffs wage and they don’t need to go asking the government for help after all. Who’d have thunk it?

What thoroughly decent people they have making the decisions at those clubs. shame on the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Southampton for not following such a great example
