Just realised that if we win the thing we will equal uniteds total of three.

Now thats a nice idea.

We won both of ours when clubs put their strongest teams out....Bigger competition back then, although it will huge once more if we win it!

The three finals we have played in all ended 2 - 1 (one aet admittedly).

Here's a weird one.

Taking all games in the LC both united and City currently have 94 victories to their names.

Wowser!

Its been hours since the draw and Im still waiting for the avalanche of stats and facts that such a game throws up.

The obvious one is the first Semi Final since 1981.

When were we last in any SF against the rags?

Have ever played a two legged semi and won/ against the rags or not etc

Will we be looking at the highest attendance for a League Cup semi (OT Game) ?

The largest attendance for two legs in a cup comp?

There must be loads more.

Cmon lets keep the spirit of Steve Kay alive.
1. Possibly, not sure what crowds the rags have been getting for their previous League Cup semis though, and whether segregation will affect capacity for this one.

2. It should beat the 69/70 SF aggregate of 119,217, I doubt that any English Cup two-legged match has had a bigger attendance, the Leeds-Celtic 1970 European Cup clash will beat it for a British record though as there were well over 100k in Glasgow alone.

Oh and we also beat the rags 3-0 in the 1926 FA Cup semi-final so we're unbeaten against them in SF matches. ;-)

Another one that I like.

Ta

We hold three out of the top 5 biggest derby winning scores!
(we've won 5-1 at home, 5-0 at OT and even 6-1 at OT [the last one is the biggest Manc derby win ever])!

That has nowt to do with City v United in SF's but does make us the best team in Manchester, right!?
