I've heard its common for doormen and bouncers to regularly take coke in order to get them through long nights, its this accurate?

Not ones ive worked with,i could'nt work with people like that,makes job harder than it already is,same with stedheads,i Just throw water on my face if i work straight after a day in dayjob haha

i must admit i find it hard to believe, but a lot of doorman are odd bastards so nothing would surprise me

Despite press we get were not all pricks ,im Just a guy tryin to provide for my family,i use my mouth instead of my fists,manners go along way with doorman and customers,i go out have a laugh,decent music in the bar(night goes quicker) bit of window shopping and get good wage and go home to wife and kids.

Hey OP why do bouncers always seem to hassle you if you are bigger than them? I never get this where I live as I know most the guys from the gym but every time I go out of town the bouncers give me shit before I have even walked in the place.

Fucking Chester I had to show my passport, drivers license and work ID before he would let me in?? Sounded like he was from EU somewhere.

Hi guys as a doorman in manchester for 14 years ive noticed a massive increase in this drug being taken in pubs/clubs since i started doors in 98,the government can increase beer prices etc but never seem to get a grip on cocaine,Its not Just young guys/girls taking it,used to work in ashton and threw guy out who must of been about 5000 walking about with car key full of it.

Ill deal with drunks all night but drugs and drinks mixed with a lack of a brain is a mare for police,doorstaff,security,bar staff etc,Just seems to be ignored.

Are you the big ugly fooker that works in the Printworks?

Any chance I have my drugs back?

I went for a number two in a nightclub once and spotted a mirror coming over the wall of the next cubicle, it was a bouncer checking if I was sniffing. Shouted him to fuck off and he threatened to throw me out the wanker. Surely it's an invasion of privacy?

Why whenever people talk about drugs being legalised do they say 'tax it'. As soon as you tax something you increase the price by 20%. Look at cigarettes. There is a huge black market with criminal gangs smuggling 100,000's in. So if you tax drugs you still have a criminal system hell bent on making money illegally from it.
My answer would be to have certain Health Centres staffed by qualified nurses and doctors where addicts can go and take Heroin or Cocaine legally. The drug would then be free from all the shite dealers put in it, it will be at a purity that can be controlled and addicts would use clean needles.
And before people say that wouldn't work, it did, for many years in Liverpool and elsewhere. It was stopped becasue of lack of funding and other reasons but it kept addicts away from crime and from dealers.
