Only got it yesterday, played a little of the campaign and a few hours online....

First impressions is that there is a hell of alot more detail, bigger maps and, which is a bonus, very few places where gamers can "camp".

I got a fair bit of use out of the old one, and at the moment I prefer MW2, however I imagine after getting used to it a bit more it will come good.

The crate drops, inluding attack dogs and the remote control car/bomb looks like it will be entertaining, and the different equipment, such as the camera, will add to the game.

Don't be deceived, they'll hide literally anywhere they can haha!

I struggled while getting used to it, it definitely gets easier once you hit the level 17+ mark. (AK74u is awesome) I'm enjoying it now and it's a lot more realistic - if you pull an AR out while someone pulls a SMG out at the same time, chances are you'll be dead. (At least that's how I've seen it)
