Cole Palmer

Always reminded me of a Chris Waddle/Shaggy from Scooby doo hybrid kind of player. A good bench filler but in the important games he was an emergency option only. Maybe like an apprentice joiner moving to a new company after completing his time, Chelsea will be the making of him.

Another poster dissing him on the basis of …. well what? Where the fcuk did you get that from?

I doubt any City player would be daft enough to demand guarantees, let alone a fringe player with hardly any starts under his belt.
 
Exactly, are people thinking they’d rather have Arsenal or Chelsea’s squads ? which are bloated and back loaded with average players, Pep knows what size & quality of squad he needs and we’ve gone light & won many times over, even Ratty has been bleating about Arsenal getting back to the side & tactics they had last season (before we run away with it) we aren’t scrambling for bodies in key areas like the rags & dips, our spine is the best in world football…we’ve gone full on building from the back!
 
Always liked Palmer and hoped he would go on to be a key member of our first team, he just never seemed to crack it when his chances came. A fee of £45 million is just too good for us to turn down, people forget about the impact of FFP rules, this is money that goes straight into our books and help with balancing the figures.

Just look over the road to the rags, they are all bleating that they are not strengthening the side more but the reality is they are now being hamstrung by the very rules they hoped would stop us.
 
Bottom line is Pep didn’t think he was good enough so the thing was to sell him especially if you believe the rumours that he wanted more playing time. 45m is a very good bit of business
