Palmer isn't a holding mid or centre half though is he.

I've been disappointed with Jack for a while now, not just today. He's not a bad player but he sure as hell isn't looking like a £100m player either. Need to see MUCH more end result from Jack IMO.

Hes playing with a chip on his shoulder against a team that sold him.

He isn't going to sustain that level of intensity through the season. He isnt a bad player. But compare Chelsea and compare us. Who does he get ahead of in the City team?

rubbish!! the lad is a proper talent...wasn't going to play much under Pep as his spiky personality doesn't suit a Pep dressing room.... understand that sacrifice a better or quality talent for team harmony but to say that he only tried hard against us is crazy. And, I don't but this argument that he only got played on the left so he couldn't shine as he needs to be played on the right. In a Pep Guardiola team you need to be flexible, a total footballer. You cannot moan, complain or sulk if you get played "out of position". Its whatever is best for the team in the eye of the manager.

When Chelsea signed palmer for us I said to a fella in work that he’d never be a star I don’t know why but I just thought when he played for city he looked greedy and would often make the wrong decision but I have watched him quite often recently for Chelsea and I think he looks more and more like KDB hanging in the channel and always looking to break the lines when he receives the ball

Palmer is decent but he wanted to go despite Pep saying he’ll be given his chance. It happens. Won’t shed any tears easy to say after he’s just nicked them a point.
