Cole Palmer

Many people said the same thing last season when you guys sold Jesus and Zinchenko to us. 'Can't believe Pep sold Arsenal 2 winners, he's giving them a huge advantage'.

From memory last season seemed to turn out OK for City in the end.....

Lesson to heed is don't get caught up in the here and now - see how things play out over the longer term and then you can judge if it was the right move or not.
A sensible gooner? I'm off for a lie down.

Dias dropped a clanger giving a penalty away like that in which palmer was always going to slot away, if chelaea and palmer didnt get that penalty we'd all be saying no we didn't drop a clanger selling him.

Said it's when he left we should told him you going nowhere this season you will get chances! He could have moaned all he wanted I wouldn't have sold him and especially to Chelsea where in fact he has been Chelsea's catalyst with his play! Thought he was outstanding today! Good luck to the lad he is a talent!

Exactly.

I'm not going to claim he didnt play well at all, but people desperately want him to be another Foden and he just isn't *that* level. He had a great run to get clear on goal in the 2nd half then the finish was shit.

He will be a Premier League standard player easily at his peak, but he doesn't become a 1st team regular any time soon.

Never wanted him to go.

Probably a good move for him though.

Pep obviously didn't fancy him enough, otherwise he'd have still been here.

No one yet......possibly JG but Dok..playing first....
Yet Pep said he wanted to keep him but Palmer wanted to go. So it isn't dropping a clanger by City is it, it's just football business.

Q. Do we have a buy-back or sell-on clause? Be surprised if we didn't?

Good at pens. But let’s see if he can cope with a hard season

the trouble with your reasoning is that Palmer wouldn’t accept being a FUTURE player. He was making it clear he wanted to play NOW.

So, he had to go because he asked to go

OK he’s been good at penalties for chelski but let’s see how he fares playing week in week out
Pal i understand that, BUT it feels from the outside that all young academy players would benefit from long term career advice ..as in you want to be a first teamer in the best in the world but the age of say 25 you need to be developing year on year 21 - 23 or 24...do not expect regular first team football...as the team you want to be in are the best club team in the world!!! Can players take that...tough hard work for years before say 25...tough ask but we are talking about getting in the best 11 club team in the world!! Amazing achievement to get in that..
