Cole Palmer

Players come, players go, i think a lot of blues knew Palmer was a decent player anyway that's why City got £42m for him, it's just the way things turn out, had he stayed at City he might of played more ? he left and as a result of more and more games he's turned into a really good player.... our loss, it's done.

Thinking back a good few years ago when Jose Mourinho was at Chelsea, he let Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah leave, do you think he would heave got shut of them if he knew how good they would become...... nope.
Mourinho knew he just had no interest in player development.

I wouldn’t care about Palmer if the position he plays in had someone doing great in our team.
The fact is that we had let go of a lot of young players and we have invested around 200 million in the last two years without much success.

Had we kept a few of them and saved some money for Rice or Musiala or Bruno it would have been better.

And i am talking about players such as Lavia or Palmer. We are reaching a point where our team needs a whole lot of revamping and a few academy graduates would have helped us.

He may have done well but he wouldn’t have half the goals as Haaland takes penalties, when he scored in the club World Cup and community shield and Mahrez leaving I thought he would be a shoe in for the right hand side, shame he didn’t stay but he wouldn’t have got the freedom he does at Chelsea, so we may well be saying why didn’t we sell him!

Pep made the right decision. We got 40m for an unproven player, it was the right decision and people need to move on.

There's a reason why Southgate didn't allow for Palmer to start any of the games, it's because Palmer is not a team player. It's the same reason why Pep never gave him a chance. It's the team that wins titles, not any one player. I saw pundits talking about his 100% penalty record being the highest ever in the epl as being some sort of achievement.. is laughable. Every time this guy does something the media tries to paint a narrative as if he is prime Messi. Not too long ago, people were raving about how he scored 4 goals in the first half which is the first time in the EPL history, but it shouldn't even count because one of the goals was from a penalty.

If you remove his penalties from his stats, he is probably no more than an average mid table player.

If he was so amazing last season, why did Chelsea finish 6th? The boy is clearly overrated. I would take Doku over Palmer every day of the week.
