This news hurts so sad for all of us who saw him play and idealised him as a teenager on the Kippax.
Rip to the king Colin Bell.

It’s made me emotional and I was born about 13/14 years after he retired.

Just terrible news. Kind of met him once, well was in the same room, didn't realise who it was at first because he wasn't at all loud or brash or 'look at me' but for me he sums up in many ways what City is and should be. Humble, a gentleman, but always applied, and incredibly gifted.

Rightly called one of the greatest ever, not just because of what he did but how he did it and who he was.

Rest in peace, and thank you for everything. I can think of no better immediate tribute that our lads going out there tomorrow night and playing with joy in their hearts.
