Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

I spent a month in hospital 6 years ago from heart attacks. First day on the ward and they brought fish and chips full of salt as main meal. Never mind the quality - it was such a dreadful choice of meal for a coronary ward. Must say though NHS themselves were world class
They obviously needed the bed and reckoned you were a decent candidate. ;-)

Better than a deep fried mars bar.

Get well soon King Colin, one of the true Greats of football.

Kev as always reminded me of Colin Bell. Top City shirt wearing footballer. Pale as fook but will run all day with an awesome footballing brain. Get well soon Col ling the king

A tweet from his son Jon back in June seemed to indicate he'd been in hospital with heart problems and was now home... I didn't post it here as I know Colin is shy and private, but now things are more public I wish him all the very best. To be in for 10 weeks is a worry...

Hope Colin gets well asap and will fully recover from whatever he is suffering from.
But 10 weeks actually bring IN hospital, that’s a long time. And that’s a worry.

Get well Colin (Nijinsky), so sad to hear that you are in hospital. Get well soon the City family wants you back at the Etihad in better times. Best player I ever watched, feel privileged.

Only just seen this, hope he gets better soon and is able to return home. 10 weeks is a long time to spend in hospital.

Get well soon Colin. That era was well before my time but my Dad is 72 and says Colin was an outstanding footballer.

Best wishes to my all time favourite player. Colin had been poorly some time back with bowel problems (his son's area of expertise) but had got over it - not really fair to have heart problems too, after being so fit in earlier life.
Incidentally, I had to move out to Sanbach a couple of years ago, and had cause to stay in the local Leighton Hospital where the food if fantastic and healthy. There is even a menu with calorific values.
