Banner is a fantastic idea and will be seen, There are lots of banners around the ground now and they all get viewed regularly – Will happily make a contribution to this and just a thought for an idea –

I've set up a Paypal account and will be giving log in details to Bill (deniro) - he knows me quite well and has my address as I've had a carpet from him ;-)

Please donate, even it's just a pound. There'll be no list from us saying who's paid or how much.


I'm going to find out if flowers are ok or donate the equivalent cost to the Red Cross. Depending on what remains will determine if we get the banner made. If we don't do the banner or there is anything left after payment we will donate that to whichever charity the family has indicated they wish to support.

Nothing will be done without Sams Mums approval and of course whatever the majority vote on here is. If a banner is to be made we'll be asking for designs and getting the most popular one done.

There's been a few asking if they can give something on the 4th at the Waldorf. That'd be ok - I'll sort something out so I can give everyone a receipt and everything can be accounted for.

Please don't feel you have to donate a lot - just a pound would be appreciated. If everyone who posted a comment on Sams thread gave a pound we'd have about £500!

I'm not into the banner thing, but if there was one I think it would be more appropriate to have one which just read "****".

Memorable and likely to be banned. Just like GSC.

Considering the standard of entertainment we've had at home recently I think it's only apt that the chubby, beautiful one makes an appearance on a banner.
Not sure how we could manage the trippy effects though, maybe fairy lights or something of that ilk.

Or another idea I put on another thread, a 'Play well or get in the cellar' banner to inspire the team.

I will put some money towards whatever we decide on at the meetup.
