We didn't miss Bellamy at all today, by the way.

I'd much rather have Milner or Ballotelli.
With the removal of bellamy our swift counter-attacking style which won us many games last year has now gone. We are now controling games more but at the expence of fast breaks which win a lot in the english game. Mancini has us playing a more italian style which will get us nowhere & he will be sacked before too long. I wont be dissapointed, he`s no better than hughes.

I seem to remember a fast break against sunderland, where Tevez missed an open goal, and also a fast break against blackburn where robinson made a good save.

Honest answer: If we took one or two of our chances against sunderland, if we took one or twenty of our chances against blackburn... would you still say 'Mancini has us playing a more italian style which will get us nowhere & he will be sacked before too long'?

When we have two class full backs playing, the system will be a lot better. Give it a bit more time. :) If you still think this at christmas, fair enough. We'll see what happens when our new signings are all match fit.

Who do you suggest replaces Mancini? Do we really want to go back to the drawing board over a draw with Blackburn. We beat the dippers a few weeks ago and played brilliant and 1 crap game following losing through a penalty and he's no better than Hughes.

his results are no better than hughes, his football is definitely worse but his pedigree indicates he will in the end sort this out, bob also can attract players most managers(not just hughes) could only dream of.he has been really unlucky with injuries, he didn't buy mario, kolarov and boateng cos we didn't need them, he knew the difference they would make to his game plan. he can only be judged after a decent run of his players playing the game.
besides all that it would be madness to change the manager yet again at city, that has got us where we are now having to pay over inflated prices and needing so many players all at once such was the level we had fallen behind other top premier teams.had we not had the takeover we would never have caught up so we need to see the bigger picture and just be a little more patient.
yesterday bob it wrong from the off but they were the players fit and not our first 11, add that to a bent ref and a bunch of non footballing thugs as opposition and we have to accept the draw and move on.

Thats a good post DN. You're not happy with Mancini at the moment but at the same time you recognise he's a smart manager with a good pedigree and that this is building process and the odd mistake will be made along the way. He can't help it if his two first choice FB's aren't fit, he's left with whats available at the moment. Its become quite clear that Lescott and Richards will be warming the bench as back up once B and K get fit. As far as Silva goes I'm sure he's keen to try and find a place for him. It must be difficult with so many players to keep happy. After a good nights sleep I can understand in a way why he picked Vierra yesterday, the first leg is this week and I expect he wanted to use him then against a less physical side. I apologise to all if I seemed negative yesterday, I guess we all have to be a bit more patient.
