In Czech, the c is pronounced as a 'ts'. Thus, it's Ro-sits-ky, not far off Rosidsky in pronunciation at all.

If that is correct then I obviously stand corrected. Might not annoy me as much now. So Czech is pronounced Tseetsh. How do u say that ;-)

Haha. Czech, like all languages, is designed to annoy. So while 'c' is 'ts', c+h is like 'ck' - i.e. ch in the word 'Loch'.

As for the Cz, it's actually an Anglicisation. The Czech word uses a 'Č' which, unlike basic C, sounds as 'ch' (our ch, not the 'Loch' type). So it's closest to 'Check' basically.
