What a brilliant result for them, well done. Split is a lovely place as well, I bet their travelling fans had a ball.
After years of bad feeling, the cup final and the league game afterwards seem to have healed some old wounds between the supporters.
Could they get Rangers in the draw tomorrow? That would be tasty...

OUCH!!!!

Stoke will do Rangers tbh.
With out doubt, Scottish football is that poor nowadays that I would say Rangers are no better than a top 10 championship side

Let's be honest - Port Vale would do Rangers.

Well done Potters. Hope you get a decent draw tomorrow.

Occasional Stokey visitor here.

The comments here are remarkable and welcome. As remarkable and welcome, in fact, as the atmosphere before, during and after the cup final.

The bad press issue is an interesting one. It is very easy for journalists to fall into lazy cliches - as we all know they do. Nevertheless I think the "unwelcome and uncouth guest at the Premier party" role has served us well, and Mr Pulis has certainly (I would say) made the most of it. And similarly the fans, to some extent.

The problem is keeping expectations realistic. But in the context of where we have come from, and the (often bizarrely enjoyable misery) we have endured over the last few decades, most fans understand the importance of embracing the present. Much like your very good selves.

Good luck this season. You might just do it.
