I started a quite heated yet effective discussion around this topic a couple of years back by cross-charging our commerce department a month's wages from finance for wasted time in irrelevant meetings, completely fucking their wage budget on the process. Good luck getting them to put it into the accounts :) it's not a bad idea though, if you've already got processes in place for charging intercompany for staff time (as we do).Good thinking. Teasing apart, in principle I agree. Though I can imagine the shitstorm potential. And us commercial people would suddenly get awfully difficult about their staff travel rights...
