I laughed

Me too.

Garcia won't leave, who sells players after one season? He'll be given more of a chance in the Barry Understudy role. We'll get rid of one of Kolo or Joleon, Dzeko and Maicon (after one season...). To be honest, if we could then keep Rodwell fit and Samir in form, we wouldn't need to sign anyone.

Jerome Boateng...
He hadn't settled, wanted starting CB role and we got a good offer from the team he wanted all along so made sense to do the deal.

Bloody hell. 17m for Cabaye!
He is a good player and I think would be a good fit in our team but 17m is a lot of money.

We could probably get him cheaper, Ashley loves a quick profit. Plus, compared to Garcia or Rodwell, he's worth it. He's Premiership proven and a big upgrade on the two.

Lazio playmaker Hernanes, nicknamed 'The Prophet' could be on his way to the Etihad this summer in a deal that few saw coming.

Manchester City could offer a long term deal to 27-year-old Hernanes, one of the best play makers in European football this season.

All of the focus and attention seems to have been on the high profile striker targets that Manchester City have been apparently interested in, which mans this is one positive deal they could well sneak through under the radar.

It doesn’t seem like a headline grabbing rumour which could work in the club’s favour and he’s certainly a player who is good enough to play for the club.

He’s almost like a David Silva 2.0 sort of player in the respect that he plays a similar creative role in his team but tries to get on the end of more chances; he has nine goals and five assists from Serie A game this season.

The price isn’t an issue because of the resources Manchester City have available, if they want him then he will not only provide competition for that attacking midfield role at Manchester City, he seems good enough to improve the other players around him.

A fee of around £20 million is possible considering he has two years left to run on his current deal with Lazio and his current status as one of the more important players at the club.

That attacking play making role has sometimes been an area where City have struggled this season, which could be a reason for Roberto Mancini going out and grabbing a player like this.

His presence in that position could free up someone like Silva and release the pressure over the entire midfield to forcibly create chances for Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez to convert next season.

Hernanes seems like the sort of player who could link the midfield with the attack well, providing he is given the right sort of protection in the middle and the ball is able to flow through him, utilising his best asset which is setting up and scoring goals.

It could also become a very easy deal for City to complete and one they can play hard ball over in a financial sense.

It’s going to be a very tall order for Lazio to currently finish in the Champions League places, which gives them something they can offer the player which he isn’t going to get if he stays where he is.

If they fail to get into the huge European competition next season then Mancini has definite grounds to try and poach him away from his old club and offer him a solid role in the Manchester City team

Turin based newspaper Tuttosport today say that Juventus manager Anotnio Conte is keen on bringing in a new left back. The favourite for the job is a Manchester City player, and the second favourite for the job is also a Manchester City player!

Juventus have long been linked with a move for Aleksander Kolarov but whilst pondering over making a move for the player, they've had their attention taken by his team mate Gael Clichy. The Frenchman is now City's first choice left back with Kolarov getting less games but also being deployed further forward on occasion.

Both players are 27 years old so there's no age advantage for either, but Tuttosport reckon Clichy would be the better option for Juventus and that he'd cost roughly the same, after wages are taken into account, as Kolarov. They price the Serbian at just €10m, which is surely wishful thinking, but point out his huge wages. They claim Clichy would cost a little more at around €14m but his lower wages would make the deal cost about the same over the period of a contract.

Even if those prices are correct and Manchester City would even consider selling, then it still sounds like a huge amount of money for Juventus. For them to pay a big fee and take on wages of around £100k a week just doesn't sound possible, especially for a left back. They have a financial reality but their recent success may have encouraged them to be more flexible on the wage front.

Juventus are 11 points clear at the top of Serie A and would provide an attractive destination if either player wanted to leave. Aleksander Kolarov has a contract until the summer of 2015 and Gael Clichy is in the same boat.

If Antonio Conte can get neither of those two men for Juventus, his next target is Maxwell of PSG

Basically the same formation which we have been using for the past two years, with Jovetic coming in for Nasri, a top class regista and Striker. Possibly change it to 4-3-3 in the CL to make it more solid with someone like Barry or Obiang replacing one of the strikers and pushing Toure further up the pitch.

out
1) kolarov - 8m
2) lescott - 8m
3) dzeko - 20m
4) balotelli- 20m
5) nasri - 20m

2) isco -25m
3) cavani - 45-50m or jovetic/benzema for 30m
