This forum posts highlights why City fans are vastly becoming more and more disliked in the footballing world (Umm.. no, you are), the arrogance some of you are displaying is unbelievable (lol hypocrisy much?). I'm not slating all of you, some of you have been down to Earth, but some of your claims to buying 4-5 superstars over the summer is ridiculous (not that ridiculous, see summers of 2009, 2010, 2011).
Firstly, you have FPP in Europe to deal with (Ok...). You will not achieve that if you decide to break the bank this summer. It's as simple as that. Secondly, new Premier League financial regulations mean you can only increase your wage bill by £4m each season, which is £76,923 per week (less than Kolo's wages) (excl revenue from increases in commercial income, or matchday income). Someone may need to clarify, but I'm pretty sure this summer is covered by these PL financial regulations.
Now you do have some dead-weight to lift as others have mentioned, expecting the likes of RSC (out of contract), Lescott (HE wants out), Bridge (also out of contract) and Dzeko (practically done deal it seems) to leave. Tevez will most likely be sold back to Argentina (or not?) & Toure is likely, however he may not want the pay cut (out of contract, again). Sinclair, Garcia? What world are you guys living in? Sinclair has his girlfriend here and is on an enormous wage (yeh, he is leaving), and Garcia just got here (he isn't). Nasri has years left on his contract and it's been made obvious he came to you for the wages (aww, can't accept he didn't pick the 'Biggest team in the world'? eh?). What makes you think any of these three actually want to leave? Remember: clubs have to honour contracts, just as players do.
Then, all these world class names you're mentioning, what makes you think they'll be so easy to sign? (who said easy?) Hazard chose Chelsea (albeit over United as well), Van Persie chose United, Lucas Moura chose United (did he? nope don't think so), then ended up in PSG (ahh yes, the team he actually chose), and the list goes on. Mancini's problem last summer wasn't that they didn't try to get the players he wanted, it was a case of it wasn't as simple as throwing high wages at them, players chose other clubs for one reason or another.
Yes, some United fans are fickle (like you...), however we don't go on like we're playing FIFA or Football Manager (hmm really? Falcao, Sneijder, Busquets, Trananldo return). You guys need to stop expecting ridiculous numbers (2 or 3 is NOT ridiculous) of world class signings and realise you already do have world class players in your squad (thank you), you just need to utilise them better and bring in players to COMPLIMENT them, not overthrow them.
