Evening all. Great result, but as I've been at a Christening all day I've not had chance, to watch the recorded game. Before I do watch it later, can I ask what sky's commentary was like?, so I can decide whether or not to have the sound off.

Thanks.

Honestly get a life does it matter what the sky commentary was like, just watch the game and enjoy it.

Haha. My thoughts too. Why on earth would anyone care? We won6-0!

Watching a game with no sound must be a damn sight shitter than a commentator who you've taken a dislike to
Not particularly when all you hear is constant slagging off and snidey twat like comments. But I did have the sound on, and I enjoyed the game immensely.

but there really is no need to tell me to get a life, this is why I don't post on this particular part of the forum much, because you ask a question then end up getting some sort of abuse.

Not bad at all really. Rob hawthorn and alan smith were the sky commentary

"not at all bad", Alan smith said "Samir Nasri miss kicked the shot onto the bar". Actually Alan you first class **** Samir gave the keeper the eyes before chip the ball and hitting the bar.

The ball skewed off his foot as he attempted to cross with the outside of his boot to Zabaleta. He didn't 'give the keeper the eyes' - he fucked up what he was trying to do.

He had an excellent game though and it's a moot point.

I am not sure which coverage we are receiving, but in Australia we had Peter Drury and Clive Allen as the match commentators. I must say they were scrupulously fair, even though Clive admitted his allegiance with the Spuds.

At one stage Drury said that his young son asked him during the week whether Sergio was the best player in the Premier League, to which he replied that based on his record of goal scoring he certainly was.

I liked the Drury/Allen combination. They were quite insightful and nothing like the Tyler approach.

caught the last few minutes of the rag game , and tyler mentioned our defeat at cardiff 6 times in the last 10 minutes , and how we collapsed against cardiff , and lo and behold yoooonited collapse as well in the last few minutes , tyler nearly fucking choked , dont care what club he says he supports ,he is a fucking rag.
I heard him say at least United got a point more than City got at Cardiff . Tyler was upset after his beloved United drew with Cardiff yesterday . I used to like Tyler not anymore .

He nearly went metal when smalling had a chance at the end.

I have to say depending who the English commentator is I prefer to listen to the commentary in a foreign language. I don't like watching in silence I enjoy the crowd noise but I can see what is going on and get a gist of the commentary from the reporters which can be fun

I have to say most English speaking commentaries are just a rehash of clichés long past their sell by date. It is to be expected I suppose those of an age to commentate have been brought up on the success of Liverpool in the 80's United and Arsenal in the 90's but maybe in the next 15/20 years we might hear media pundits who have been brought up with Chelsea and City success

I was annoyed that he kept going on about how Navas didn't mean his first goal. If that was a cross it was the worst cross in the history of the universe cause there wasn't anyone in the box when he hit it. Clearly he meant it.

tut tut.
better to use your time going to a christening than having an unwarranted pop at people you don't know online.

-- Mon Nov 25, 2013 11:56 pm --

Not strictly 'Commentary' related however I can't be arsed starting a new thread, but has Sharon the photographer got a new role of dubbing over Jesus Navas' website interview with a woman's mancunian accent?

Very Funny, God knows why the club thought it would be a good idea to dub a Spanish Man with the voice of a Northern English Woman.

Positive it's her!
definitely her
