A completely unnecessary game for me.
I get it's overall intentions but money can be raised other ways.
Its about time it was put out of its misery and people could save their money.
I'll be staying at home.

The way I see it is, making sure Liverpool don't win it and therefore don't get used to winning things often (when we have a say in it), is more important than us picking up the trophy itself.

That said, they are only in it because we won everything domestically last year. So even if they do win it, that further diminishes an already "tin pot cup". As they were quick to tell us at the end of the season when we laid out our silverware.

Although we don't want to make the mistake the rags made and continue to make in focussing on one thing too much, stopping our rival(City in the rags case). Rather than concentrating on ourselves on and off the pitch and have the desire to win things for ourselves outright, as winners do.

This is going to be the most eagerly anticipated charity shield that's been had for some time, the TV networks are going to love it. We all know it's just a glorified friendly but it's a monster.

There is always an edge when we play Liverpool. Last year's Chelsea match was very competitive. Pep doesn't do friendlies. I am looking forward to it anyway. Another Wembley visit ticked off. This will be my 20th with City. I never thought I would see that many days there.

Well if the Dippers had 2.5 million at their parade our 20k at Wembley will look rather underwhelming ,but its quality not quantity that counts , a million Dipper feral ragamuffins left outside Wembley without a ticket is asking for trouble though.

What are sales like? none of me and my mates are going for various different reasons and we go to as many aways/euro aways and as we can and all previous wembley trips, but for this we all have just not bothered, some financial, some booked holidays instead, some just cannot be arsed.

For me the sunday kick off I have had enough of doing for a friendly, the opposition and expense of a trip to london after summer has had me swerve it this year.

That is a good effort and 2 weeks to go, with plenty getting paid from now to end of month...good chance we will take 25k which would be more than I thought by a distance.
