After we lost to united in 2012 Kompany said the reason we looked so tired in the second half was because the players had been put through the toughest week of pre season, including the two days leading up to the game. The following week we followed a normal pre match build up and looked fine. Since then I’ve always found it reassuring if we look a bit sluggish a week before the season starts.

We probably are a bit behind where we should be. De Bruyne certainly didn’t seem impressed by pre season. But I thought it was great preparation for the pl. Sure we would all like to have put Liverpool to the sword, but it was a great workout for the defence and much better than a walkover. Also dispels the possibility of complacency
 
Feels really good to win it and if the club's calling us 'Formidables', it's pretty important to them to do so too.

Really ? ... do you all honestly believe that? It was 1st half City 2nd half Liverpool. Either team could have won it.
 
Should have finished them off at the start of the second half.
Bravo great and that clearance of the line by Walker? Was amazing.
Gundogan cameo takes over from Kolorov as the worst ever.lol

We won the match. It is an indisputable fact.

Thankfully for you, we were missing our number one defender, key central midfielder and the best striker in the Premier League.

we ACTUALLY won but I know what you mean. But there again your lot could have been 3-0 down in the first half, game over.
