I get into Birmingham at 6.45am.... will there be any other blues hanging about? or even any pubs at that time?

Wetherspoons open from 7, at least the Square Peg is, we're not getting there until 10 though!

We went in there on a Sunday and they wouldn't serve beer till 10am!!!

Anyone else getting a bus that arrives at colmore Circus ? It appeara a fair distance from villa park if anyone else is how are you getting to villa park?

We arrive at colmore circus at 9.55 its a short walk to the square peg. Then its about 10 mins to new st .then a short train ride to witton station a few mins from Villa Park . Alternatively you can go to Broad st , plenty of Pubs then on to new st

Anything to the north or west of the ground, so over towards Witton Road, Brookvale Road, that sort of area. I don't know of indivudual pubs, sorry, but City have been given parking areas out that way.
Chelsea have been given the car parks to the south and east of the ground, so towards the Aston Expressway will be choked with Chelsea fans.
