I don’t think I’d describe City fans as civilised. The way people bang on about Liverpool fans… we have more arrests than they do every single year.

City United Birmingham Leeds and Cardiff are often the Top5 or are definitely in the Top10 when it comes to fan arrests every season.

I always think Liverpool’s away support at the Etihad seems like a soft group of shirt wearing mixed age fans. I think we have more nutters than they do.
I feel baffled when I see City fans say they aren't going to this game because of who we are playing. As you say, they are mainly shirted up normal fans. I can hardly remember any trouble when we've played them anywhere.

However you cant arrest Liverpool fans as it's against the law.

We’ve had more mither off Leicester Arsenal Chelsea Brighton Wigan and the worst two United and Villa than we’ve ever had from Liverpool down at Wembley. Liverpool fans have been alongside Watford Sunderland and Stoke as the least troublesome fans for me.

EDIT- it did nearly kick off at a service station on the way home from the 2014 EFL Cup final after a larger group of Scousers picked on a smaller group of City fans from our coach so a big group from our coach all banded together and confronted their coach but they didn’t want to know.

been a good workout for the seat counters, an ever altering allocation, lots of qualifying criteria, can only bode well for a good season of counting
You're dead right. A brilliant pre-season workout for all involved. It has had it all. Queues to log in. Wetpants amongst our support panicking that it wouldn't sell out (one record breaker at 9.10am on the day of sale used the word "struggling"), Fluctuating demand and now as we enter the home straight, goalpost-moving batches of returns meaning we have to keep the champagne on ice.

Same for me.
To be honest, apart from the semi-final vs United in 2011 ,I've never seen any aggro at Wembley, the surrounding area, tube stops and even Euston Station.

Same here. A firm of City were marauding around for the 2012 Charity Sheild too but I don't think they saw much resistance.

That's odd.
We played Sunderland in 2014 ;-)

I saw a punch up on Wembley way with Arsenal fans, there was a huge fight on the roundabout with Chelsea fans one year, Leicester fans were supposed to be knobs at a tube/train station (didn’t see that one myself), Villa fans were coin throwing spitting grouping together and staring out families and shirters, saw one fight on the way down and one on the way home at service stations between City and Wigan fans, United were also targeting families and shirters in 2011 kicking people from behind walking down Wembley Way and a funny one was seeing loads of Cockney Reds knocking about everywhere calling City fans “facking Maaync cants”…
