Community Shield Tickets

Sorry Doddy but I cant working out what you're complaining at? Just because 5 of you are eligible for tickets you want the last one with fuck all points to be eligible as well? 4500 is fuck all points btw. Just bloody wait a couple of days, you'll all get tickets.

I'm going out of a sense of duty more than anything. I would be ashamed of myself if I was watching on TV and there were loads of empty seats in our end.

I am sure it will be enjoyable for those who make the trip. Hopefully there will be a few debutants and another change to take the piss out of that lot. Bring it on.

Pretty much how I feel.

I like to switch off from football in the summer. Cant say I'm that interested in how we do against Vancouver or the latest non development in the Tevez saga. Usually get interested again a couple of days before the opening league game.

The Community/Charity Shield never used to get big crowds. 61,000 when Leeds played Liverpool in 1992. Its been a sell out recently mainly because its involved United against other London based teams.

I expect that there'll be a late surge in interest as people get back from holiday. Hopefully the ticketing process will cope.

5k empty I reckon.

We'll never hear the end of it.

Bring on the glory hunters, boy do we need them...

Any thread that says something along the lines of 'will i get a ticket blub blub' should be pulled instantly for the upcoming season.

All aways apart from Bolton, Rags and QPR will comfortably make general sale.

Plus Arsenal, Chelsea, Blackburn (once), Blackpool, Burnley, Notts County, Leicester, Scunthorpe in the last two seasons. Didn't Fulham as well and probably missed one or two?

I am more bothered about the Bolton tickets not being on sale yet, but it seems tht there is no news on the Bolton site either.

Go to buy tickets.

On the drop down chose customer number and I think the password defaults to your postcode.

Anybody got their tickets yet?
Mine arrived this morning and being made to pay £5.45 for recorded delivery, they came normal 1st class. This happened to anyone else?

yes, i have contacted customer services, 10 quid booking fees and 5.45 for delivery is somewhat taking the piss.

don't envisage getting a response.

I'd demand a refund of that £5.45 on principle. The club specifically states that the £5.45 is for Special Delivery which comes with the compensation allowance to match. If the club, or whoever sends them out for them, is trying to short-change people, go after them.

-- Sat Jul 23, 2011 9:52 am --

The postage isn't if they had actually been delivered Special Delivery, that's just what it costs to insure them for £500 with tracked delivery. However, the law is absolutely on your side. They have not been delivered as advertised, you're entitled to a refund. I'd go after it. Cheeky fuckers whoever's responsible.

Mine came a day or two ago, did not bother opening them until now, though it was junk mail from Nottingham.

I am a bit vexed by such an exercise.
