Comparative Compare V Last Season (20 games)

I posted this in another thread a few games ago, and have now updated it, if people want to see where the extra points have come from:

Newcastle h =
Cardiff (Wigan) a -3
Hull (Reading) h =
Stoke a =
U****d h +3
Villa a -3
Everton h +2
WHU a +2
Chelsea a -1
Norwich h +3
Sunderland a =
Spurs h =
Swansea h =
WBA a =
Saints a +1
Arsenal h +2
Fulham a =
Liverpool h +2
Palace (QPR) h =
Swansea a +2

p20 +10

Looks good , we really need to beat rags away and Chelsea at home to keep us in the top 3 and hope Arsenal slip up. They still look strong even though we thrashed them at home. Need them to drop some easy points against those that beat us I.e Villa tomorrow .

Would be interesting to see Arsenals tally versus last year? I expect all three will be very close for the next three months.

If you switch Palace and Cardiff (i.e. Cardiff = QPR, Palace = Wigan) then we are 12points up with the Spurs game which we lost last season coming next. A win there would make the predicted total using this system 93.

A bit of playing on http://www.statto.com/football/stats/en ... ier-league shows that Arsenal should win this league by a mile if last seasons form in the last 16 games is repeated.

The top table shows how we all compare V after 22 games last season.
The bottom table shows how we all did in the last 16 games last season

If you add the same results for last 16 to current points you get a table where we finish 3rd !!!!!
Arsenal on 90
Chelsea on 82
MCFC on 80.
Spurs on 75

But we all know there are lies, damn lies, and statistics !!!

Still I am taking one game at a time, and hoping for the best, its a damn site better watching with my eyes shut now than it was against Luton in 83.

-- Sun Jan 19, 2014 11:03 pm --

I just spent ages eiting that table so it couls be read easily !!!! Reads fine if you go to quote it

IMO its all in the last 10 games...

The teams fighting to stay in the Prem will have a big say into who wins the league..

If you look at the table, anybody in the bottom half could get relegated..

There will be some shock results for sure...

Something i have noticed with this City teams this season is that we look really focused and always start the game off well.

In previous seasons we had games ( especially against lower teams ) where we just went through the motions..

Hopefully those days are gone.
