From top to bottom.

I have been hyper critical of the manager and even his supporters on here must now have now come round to the view that Manuel is a distinctly average football manager. He lacks all the basic qualities required for the job. He is no leader of men. He can't organize a defence. And the tempo he sets is ridiculously behind what every other manager is demanding of their players. As Souness said Paisley just asked his players to match the intensity of the opponents. Given Liverpool usually had the better players that was enough.

But I reserve my strongest criticism for the men above him. How complacent was Txiki in thinking that hiring a second rate manager was going to get it done. Apart from that some of the signings have been so extremely poor that Garry Cook a man with no previous football experience easily out does him despite the fact that we were not a top four side.

And maybe Khaldoun who is in overall charge should have been looking a bit harder at what the fuck has been going on the last 3 years. OK we now have Pep which is great but what has preceded his arrival has been amateurish and that's being kind.

Garry Cook was a great director of football. Pity we gave the job to Marwood.

He was the best manager in the world after pipping the mickeys two years ago.
And now he's a dud.
Fickle fuckin fans get on my tits.

To be fair a lot of them were calling him a useless **** in 2014 as well. Which just shows that they were prejudiced to begin with and are now taking delight in their I told you so moment.

Still the fickleness is a joke. We've created a monster and a fair few fans can't deal with it when operation win every game 10-0 goes tits up .

There's so many factors to name that we can't attribute all the blame on Pellers. Silva's injury-ridden season, Kompany, transfer policy that had to be 'sanctioned by Pep', the whole announcement, de-motivated players, prioritising competitions etc all have their effects on us this season.

Makes me sick tbh. Just read the match day thread when the abuse starts five minutes in if we're not winning.

I'd never want a City manager to fail............no chance
Didn't say you mate, but you can't deny that there's a few of the most vocal on here now that did, because they were totally against Bobby being sacked (as was I) and it's poisoned any assessment of Pellegrini from day 1.

I thought he should have been sacked after last season. I never called him best manager in the world, always felt we won the trophies we won despite of him

Stop being fickle, follow a one-dimensional manager whose took us backwards till the bitter end.

That's fair enough but what do you propose we should've done? bring in a full time replacement and sacrifice our chance to get Guardiola when his Bayern contract ended? or bring in a caretaker for a year while we waited which lets be fair could've resulted in an even worse performance this season?
