Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

I don't but I think he probably wouldn't want to complain or make a fuss. But the club should be all over this.

I think he used to be a member of the London supporters club, not sure if he still is.

Result! The club aren't happy and are onto the BBC about it. Just had an email from Simon Heggie.

Brilliant, hopefully something comes of it. We have to start fighting back as a whole club as turning the other cheek just means they slap it all the harder.

Well done for bringing this to our (my) attention and to the attention of the club who hopefully report this to the twats at the BBC who represent this twat journo.

I had the honour to meet Pete many years ago. I was very impressed with him though he kept telling me he was impressed with me starting to support City in 76 as a foreigner and stuck to it. Great and humble person he is, representing the true fans we always had over the years. It's the ever presence of these fans that played a significant part in Sheik Mansour's desicion to take over the club.

That's fair enough on Pete's part but are the club aware?
I've made a complaint as I'm building up a dossier of evidence of their bias

Partly successful. They've now changed the caption to "I wonder who he's supporting today" but I'm sure I've seen that used before. They've also changed the time-stamp to before the original one. But I've got the original safely stored away. I also tweeted Gary Lineker & Trevor Sinclair, asking if they were proud to be associated with that sort of thing.

They are. See above.

Some of us need to get together on this and I'm happy to be involved.
Me too. One doesnt need a degree in psychiatry to be able to tell from that photo that Pete the badge has some vulnerabilities, and is a kindly harmless fun loving passionate fan doing nobody any harm. Make no bones about it, this is wholly out of order and is no more than mocking, inspired by an agenda towards our club that the use of the term Bertie betrays. From the national public broadcaster as well. Fucking disgraceful

I agree that's it something that has completely over-stepped the mark and they deserve to be pilloried for it but they will either take it down and gloss over it or issue a half-hearted apology saying they didn't mean to offend anyone and it was done unintentionally. Then they'll carry on.

What defence is there to quoting the team cost of us and Leicester just before a game in which Leicester were playing the rags? What defence is there to not mentioning our game on Sunday in any one of five news bulletins? There isn't any.

I'm with you, I just think that they have no comeback whatsoever from this single issue, which can easily be hidden amongst the other stuff that they can try to justify.

What gets me is the guy (GJ) is new to Manchester and might not have known that the shop was that near. We all know what Mcr rain can be like, I got soaked yesterday walking from my car to the hospital entrance which was 100 yds away! Plus it's his own flaming money he is spending!!

probably that or the club had the common sense to escort him everywhere whilst he settles in to protect him from the Idiot, Sun reading Rags that would shiv him thinking he's just 'anuvver immigrant'.

Non-story when i saw it on the UBBC Gossip section. When they have no shit to make up, they try to make a story out of nothing.
