Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

Pre 2008 most neutrals like us cos they felt sorry for us .
Now they hate us cos of our money.

Give me the hate any day over the patronising.

One of my good mates is a Gooner. Life long fan, and top bloke .... Highbury born and bred, but has lived in Milton Keynes for decades. Often went made a weekend of it in MK with the missus and his. And we would go on the Arsenal MK Supporters coach with them. It was all jokes and winks about 'another three easy points' etc from them when I got on with City coat and scarf ... All very friendly, but patronising at the same time.

That all changed following our takeover, and subsequent rise from 'Likkul Citeh' to first a threat, to then seeing us take their players and their place at the top table too ... it became openly hostile on the last trip I made .... I laughed my head off at them ... (Me and mate get the train in from MK nowadays, lol)

I fear the media campaign has turned other match going fans ( look at Raheem's) treatment but smaller club fans have always wanted the big teams to lose, did you watch any rag/ dipper/Arse games etc was the reaction similar?

yes watched the Watford game but the bar was full of the vermin , they were convinced the team in red were actually brazil vintage 1970 , apart from a couple of dippers doing their best to disrupt the Raggy love-in .It became nauseous and i found alternative entertainment as the pedestrian traffic lights in spain are something to behold after a few San Miguels/Mahou

Loaded questions again to KDB. Opening gambit was now that Pep has been training you for a year or close to a year. What's that about?

The sky gimp also opened with "for the second season City have reached this round...." I make it 4 years in a row now we've hit this round.

It's just absolutely incessant against us. The agenda is brutal.

Much as the BBC/sky are arses with us I suspect the 2 rather than 4 years is down to shit research, if only they along with other media actually employed staff who had an interest in sport.....

I did notice BBC teletext report on the women's cup draw. Arsenal and Spurs (who aren't even in the league) were mentioned, as well as Arsenal and Dippers I think. No mention of the double winners. But then they did do a big news article last week on signing the world's best player I suppose.

fully agree , it was boring being everyones favourite gallant loser . if they hate us we are doing something right

In any case, I'm pretty sure most neutrals pissed their sides laughing when we got relegated to the 3rd tier in 1998 so this "everybody's 2nd favourite team" line isn't quite as clear-cut as many make out. Sure, a lot would no doubt root for us when playing the likes of United, etc, but flip it round to matches against teams smaller than us and they'd be wanting the other team to win. That said, you can still have a decent discussion about City with many genuine fans of other clubs - after getting back from Huddersfield on Saturday I got talking to a couple of Charlton fans in the station bar at Piccadilly who had been to see their team draw 3-3 at Rochdale and we had good chin wag reminiscing about previous fixtures between us.

For some reason I have a memory about Charlton fans not liking Nicky Weaver, but I forget the reason why.
