Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

Just listening to Radio 5 Live now and no mention of our game tonight in the sport bulletin.

Good I hope the fuckers never mention us again. I have no problem with being ignored when we're doing well, I don't give a shit about running order on Motd but constant snide shite they've been aiming needs to stop & if that means they say nothing I'm happy.

We should fight fire with fire, they would rather ignore us than apologise, then we'll ignore them. Refuse their journalists entry, refuse MoTD interviews etc etc.

Not directly connected to Pete or Berties, but regarding the BBC.
About 2 years ago I made a complaint to the BBC about something on CBBC. My daughters liked to watch a programme about kids trying to find partners for their single Mum/Dad. The kids involved would interview potential partners, and in one episode they had a bloke recite his favourite limerick.
It went...

'There was a young lady called Vicky,
in men she was quite picky,
she didn't like the French,
because the stench,
of their breath made her feel quite sicky.'

I complained to the BBC saying that this was racist, I pointed out that they wouldn't dream of letting this through if it was about Asians, Blacks, Muslims or the Irish.
They squirmed, came up with feeble excuses such as 'It was just a joke (to which I replied 'try using that as a defence to racism in the Crown Court..it was just a joke').
Of course one of the things they said was the old 'Sorry if you were offended'.
It went backwards and forwards for months and in the end I just said 'Look, I know you were in the wrong, you know you were in the wrong, but you just can't bring yourselves to admit it'.
Different subject but the same attitude.
I have to side with the Beeb here, can't see anything wrong with that.

Doing anything like that could easily end up looking as sad as the mib's hanging about outside the granny shaggers a couple of years ago.

The theory is great but pressurising them at the ground would be a better option.

It actually worked for the MIB's though didn't it, he crapped himself and stayed put. We have to stop getting precious and worrying how we look, the BBC is the Biased Broadcasting Corporation....against us! We should hit them in their home and at the ground!

I do take your point but a mini demo of 20/30 fans would just have us a bit of a laughing stock.

Who said it was only 20-30? Even that amount would draw attention if it is done right. A demonstration was mooted earlier in the thread but went quiet I am just throwing it back into the mix. I know we get crap of other media outlets but I don't have to pay for them, the BBC I do.Also why a laughing stock? How many does it need to NOT be a laughing stock.....100,1000,10000?

That's a lot of what the trumpers, farageistas and brexiters on here would surely refer to as 'snowflakes'...

The BBC would not like a demonstration drawing attention to their biased lying selves trust me. Otherwise they can keep at it and send out bog standard ''Sorry for any offence caused'' letters and no one except us is any the wiser.

I'm up for that, I'll bring the bricks if you get a list of home addresses.

By home I meant media City but taking the fight to home addresses is always very effective but on a public forum I would never advocate violence...'Cough!'

Yeah all tongue in cheek that eh.

what days are you free?

Every time you find something wrong with the reporting about City just e-mail them and complain, but what is need is a couple of 1,000s of \City fans e-mailing and when you get a reply you should say that you are not happy with that reply and that you expect something better than that from the BBC. Gary Linker just hates us and you can see it in his face every time we win and has to make a nice comment on how we played. Would just love it if his Leicester City team got relegated this season.
