Completely Disillusioned

The OP will get some hell for this but I can sort of understand him. I won't be complaining when we break the top four but we are skipping steps that would have made the journey a lot more satisfying, the gradual rise to the top. We are buying success, that much is true, and I think had we achieved more in the last 34 years there would be more disgruntled fans - but most of us are just desperate for some success.

To the OP what I would cling to is the fact that we continue to utilize and produce academy players instead of getting rid of them and replacing them with superstars like Madrid usually do (with the exception of Raul). Micah, Ned, Stevie, SWP, Johnson (if ever fit) are all part of the first team squad now while Boyata is breaking through and Hart and Weiss looks to be part of our plans. This gives me hope that we can be more of a Barcelona - balancing purchased superstars and home grown - than a Real Madrid who just try and fill each position with the world's most glamorous players.

I don't like previous regimes any more than anyone here but I just want to get to stage one. Everyone has a clean slate. No debts, no sugar daddies, just the clubs being owned by the fans. It won't happen though.

Actually, close this. I'm half cut and will regret it in the morning.

In eighteen months, the club has changed. The outlook, the structure, everything. We have become arrogant, self-important and largely hypocritical. I hate that real City fans are being cheated by this stupid regime. I'm very young but already I feel completely out of touch with football. Who cares if we might break the top four? That's not exciting! It's predictable as hell. We spend stupid money on stupid, overpaid players to get into a silly competition to get even more silly money and more silly money as a reward for winning it. Football is being destroyed by clubs like us and I hate that. I feel like giving up and starting over such is my resentment towards the Premier League.

Rant over.
RAG ALERT!!!!!!!

I'm with you, I much preferred it when we were skint, shit, not scoring. Why on gods green earth would I want us to finish in the top 4, CL football, Barca/Inter/AC coming to COMS, the worlds footballing best playing on our pitch. I'm fucking disgusted, I'm going watching Accy Stanley.........

Caring about my clubs integrity and I get called a WUM and a rag? That's what I'm saying.

Thanks, LoveCity.
