Computer screen problem

Got a new computer today and when I turn it on, it says the screen has no signal.

Anyone know what's wrong?

Ha, only messing, ermm, I know it sounds like a stupid question but make sure the thing at the back is plugged in nicely, it happens on mine quite a lot cus' it's just out by a little bit.

i had this problem once.is there a switch on back of tower somewhere try changing it.

Usually a sign the lead that goes from the monitor to the pc tower unit is not connected properly. Make sure the pins in the conenctor are pushed into the pc tower unit correctly and tighten the two screws either side of said connector:

If that doesn't work, then either that cable is knackered, the port it plugs into is knackered or the monitor is knackered which means back to the shop with it.

if you have 2 ports one is usually to your graphics card (assuming you have one) it should be plugged in there, if you dont have one, then im out
