COMS atmosphere - good

I live 200 miles away from COMS and so only get to about 5/6 home games a year. For the last few years all I have heard on here is people whining about the atmosphere in the ground. The games I have been to this season however have been rocking (Posnan and Villa). I was also at Fulham away and it was great there as well.

It seems simplistic I know, but the atmosphere seems directly linked to the standard of football being played. Thoughts.

It's so good that we can win 4-0 and go top of the League and half of the crowd starts to leave for home with 10 minutes left to play...

I've said it before but its a shame people cant take their seats with more than a minute to go - generally the away fans are revved up and the stadiums full of empty seats when the players come out.

Chicken and egg though - do the players fire the crowd up or the crowd fire the players up.

Stamford bridge was like a morgue last night if anyone saw it.

I left 5 mins early but i got home 45 mins earlier than i usually do. Didn't have to queue to get out of Level 3. If it was a tight game then no way i'm leaving but it was 4-0, against Villa.

Just a shame sometimes the stadium isn't and doesn't even look full despite being sold-out.

some of us are still finishing our drink and talking to family as we can't sit with them or take our drinks with us due to the taylor report

I've left early and also stayed to the end! quite honestly if people are leaving because of the traffic they would have to leave at half time! Going ten minutes early doesn't make any difference what so ever! The Traffic is horrific

Depends where you park tbf. We park 5 minutes from the stadium and are away with 15.

when it comes to atmosphere at coms most the moaning comes from the people outside the singing section and ouside aisles 116 towards the colin bell stand corner. if your not happy with it get up and sing with us instead of leaving it to near the away fans to produce atmosphere. when the poznan was going round stadium on tuesday that was great why cant it happen with singing to?

Create smoking areas so fans can have a smoke and a pint at half time then.
I always try and leave it to 5 minutes to kick-off before entering the ground, that gives me just enough time to walk to level 3 and get to my seat for kick-off, however if there was a somewhere I could have a smoke at half time then I could enter the ground earlier knowing I wouldnt have to wait until after the game before having another tab.

Tell u something I've noticed. If a couple of the refs decisions go against us early on, it gets the crowd revved up. Everyone sticks together and (along with the players) we seem to all shout as one and get behind the team.

I might be mad in saying this but as long as it's nothing serious (offside or a foul on the halfway line etc) then I welcome the ref giving a couple of early decisions against us.

I prefer the new style of being 2 up within 15 minutes ;-)

Winds me up ffs - like against Everton last week 10 mins to go and crowd filtering out like we'd won 20:0 WTF stay and cheer on OUR team that you've paid good money to see! Upping the volume can help the team up the tempo for last few mins - it's not Rocket Science!!

Yep, it looks so shit when the ground is half empty before the final whistle has even blown. Bet Vinny and De Jong wonder why they bother making the effort to clap the stands sometimes.

Agree mate. I think a number of our fans need to have a look at themselves coz I'm not sure they know how to create an atmosphere any more. I understand some can't get the game for various reasons but when ur there it's about playing your part showing the sort of commitment we expect from the Players

A good mate of mine has an opinion on this; he said the hardcore of c. 22,000 stay (roughly half of the crowd) while the johnny-come-latelys clear off early to get home, but to do what exactly? Watch X Factor or The Generation Game or whatever passes for Saturday night telly these days. Generally speaking, I find it hard to disagree with him..
