Personally can't see any expansion in the near future. However a decade from now I can see us in a new stadium and lets face it these Emirates don't do small scale so I expect it to be competing with the Nou Camp for largest stadia in Europe.

The pitch could be dug down a further 5 metres and the stands brought closer to the pitch. There's loads of room to do it as the pic above shows. Probably get another 10 rows of seats in all the way round. Prob is they'd all be Gene Kelly seats!

Absolutely, me and me Dad were talking about this a while ago, we reckon you could get 15-20 rows in if the level of the pitch went as far down so that the front row of fans were merely 2 metres away from pitchside! not another tier, a continuation of the lower tier now!

Were the plans for the Olympic stadium the basis for the design used for the Commonwealth one?

Think so, look at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney as it is called now it looks like our stadium but it holds 90,000! It is used for rugby league now - the NSW home games for State of Origin and the Grand Final are played there!

It would be better with a massive 3rd tier like in East and Bell Stands!
