Yep, nothing worse when you’re trying to do The Times crossword at HT and some disrespectful oiks are making a noise.
Ban them all!!!

It's always been a thing at away days but it's always transfered from the concourse to the stands then back, then back again. Was often a great way of spreading new songs. Nowadays though, the concourse singing at away ends is almost exclusively for social media content and it rarely transfers to the stands. Sad but that's football now.

Chucking pints in the air is definitely a social media thing that started at the World Cup, which I will never understand.

But saying that singing songs on the concourse is just for social media is a bit cynical and miserable tbh.

Maybe it’s just lads having (mostly) harmless fun.

I think it’s great, creates a great atmosphere and sets the tone for the game, first and second half.. Keep it up lads and if anyone doesn’t like it they can get in their seats early and stay there until full time ..

We’ve sung in concourses for as long as I can remember, can’t believe someone has an issue with it! Throwing beer is an odd one though, was going on well before the Euros.

Especially considering it’s a fiver a pint and takes 30 mins to get served.

Mind you, one sip of half and half line cleaner/out of date Amstel they serve at City and I’m often tempted to chuck it as far as I can away from me too.

beer chucking has been around longer than that although it probably did step up after those scenes in the big fan parks.

I don't think it's being cynical, why else would you get a great noise in a crowded area with everybody filming but hear nothing from most of those same people in the stands when phones are in pockets? It's not everybody but it's a substantial number

I'd rather fans get to their seats earlier and sing in the stands before the start of the match.

Why?

I just don’t get it.

It’s for YouTube and Instagram likes… phones out, jump around and sing, post it on social media and get a load of likes from other clubs’ concourse crews.

A bit shit, not something I like taking part in, but I don’t mind it too much when we’re good in the stands like we have been away from home this season.

However, it does me fucking swede in when the phones-out-concourse-crew are bouncing around at half time but are too shy to sing in the stands and it’s deathly quiet while the game is going on.
