We obviously recognise what the club do in the community with CITC and the charities they continue to support. Carl Tilson is delighted that Duchennes is represented this coming season and the recognition will highlight the impact that has on so many peoples lives.

But the main purpose of this thread is gauging the views of others on the recognition and connection of the club to the supporters in terms of feeling valued or as a statistic somewhat. I know full well that this has been spoken about with significance with Garry Cook as he has done so in Points of Blue meetings in the past but how far do them words go? This is not an attack, more so being inquisative as to the actions as a reponse to that.

I feel like the club are listening in respect to the match day experience changes, from the prices to the City Square and the changes in the stadium aswell (thinking about the singing section in particular and Peter Fletcher considering opinions of supporters from that section).

Furthermore, there are also developments in the future. Etihad Campus. I don't know the ins and outs of what exactly this entails but from words of mouth it sounds exciting.

Any thoughts?

It's so much better than it was and credit to Garry Cook for making it happen. Let's not forget that just a few years ago, when Pearce was manager and fans were deserting the club, they made no effort to connect with us at all. No fans forums or players going to OSC meetings. Anyone who had any dealings with Mackintosh will tell you how he saw fans and even shareholders as a nuisance or just a source of revenue.

Now we have all that and you really get the feeling that they want to hear fans' views. Danny Wilson is doing an absolutely brilliant job and we have all sorts of videos on the OS that gives us a peek behind the scenes. There's been some great pricing offers as well, which is the most practical demonstration.

Of course they won't do everything we want or need as they have their own view on where hte club is going but, unlike the rags, I do believe there is a genuine desire to get ansd keep us on board.

Great post, we have come along way with our customer service. People should remember that.

As a City regular for over 25 years, I can honestly say I've never felt more connected to the club or that fans wishes have ever been taken on board so much. The commercial department are always looking to fans for their views and actually take action to reflect those views.

I appreciate there are people who hate City Square and the cheesiness, but it's important we keep all of our fans happy, the kids, families, and the lads who want to go and have a beer and a laugh. That's why I think the family stand is a good idea, because not only does it provide a nice environment for kids, it makes for a better atmosphere for the lads in the South Stand who want to balloon without upsetting anyone.

They have made mistakes and you can never please all the people all the time, but I genuinely think City are listening to fans views more than ever before, and should be applauded for that.

Shame about the blue shorts.
