Horrible, rancid, eye scratching bull shite. I could feel them constantly scratching at my eye balls. The longest I had them in was 12 hours when I was stuck in York without my glasses, by the end of the day, my eyes were completely bloodshot and I felt like ripping them out of my head.

away ?

Haha, no. We decided to go down to York for a weekend to go around all the old places.

You have to take them out of the packet first!

Very funny, I couldn't have the gas permeable ones because my eyes are too dry. I had the monthly flexible ones from Specsavers, in the end they were that painful I simply had to go back to using glasses.

That's a shame. But not everyone can wear them I suppose.

my eyesight seemed to be getting worse so went to tesco in middleton for an eye test, my original specs are fine but they quoted me 40£ per month for lenses which seemed expensive, hence the thread. Thanks to all of you btw
That's completely excessive. Is that just for bog-standard lenses?

I'm on monthly, top-of-the-range varifocals and pay £26 per month.
i don't know PB, i know nowt about lenses, they just said that for me to wear contacts constantly for a month then that would be the cost, Tbh i got the really hard sell, they even tried to get me to buy some specs for when I'm cycling for £80. When you say monthly's, does that mean you get one pair that you take out each night and they last you a month?
That's right.

Bet you're sorry now you didn't believe people that said wanking will make you go blind.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll be down there tomorrow to strike out a deal for myself, by the sounds of it I shouldn't be paying anymore that £30. I deffo need 'em before I get to Madrid

I've worn dailies from Specsavers for about 6 years now. Costs me £22 for a 30 days supply.

Absolutely great. Weird at first but now second nature putting them in and taking them out

Im on monthlies. 18quid a month. Bargain, cant feel them at all. Looked a right **** wearing glasses as well so they did me a favour!
