Conti Cup 2022/23 Manchester City vs Sunderland

I think a few of us have been calling for Blakstad and Raso to be regular starters and I'm glad Taylor is, finally, opening his eyes!

Also pretty glad Houghton is playing again and can't wait to see her play live to see where she is in confidence.

As for Shaw? Again, some of could see she's a player and is, finally, finding her feet within the team.

Taylor's team (if he's still here next year) is now as he wants it, more or less, and cannot afford to be slow starters in the future.

Good stuff all round today.
Think this was very much a cup team selection. Getting minutes in legs of players that haven't featured much so far this season. Will be very surprised if Taylor doesn't revert back to a similar line-up to the last WSL team for the game against Brighton next weekend.

I didn't see the game live,, so I can't judge the game.

If someone caught it, how would you compare it to the standard team Taylor sets up? The highlights look quite fluid with Blakstad running from mid, which is what we want!!
