Cook update

cook has certainly gone on the offensive - some might say defensive - following Kaka episode and the spin coming out from Milan. I've often been very critical of the people running MCFC in the past but in this case I certainly choose to believe what Cook is saying and I certainly find if hard to believe that comments attributed to Kaka today that City were clueless reflect reality. I think it quite possible that Cook is rather more commercially sophisticated than the majority of people running football clubs but he is going through a learning curve about operating in the world of football. This guy will, IMO, lead us to success as a club if he is left in charge and
I have more faith in him in his role than I currently do about Hughes in his role.

"I’ve been in discussions that are completely ludicrous [during the transfer window] and I actually flew to another country to have a meeting which lasted seven minutes.

"And that seven minute meeting was because the demands were so ridiculously high, I just packed up my bags and walked out because he clearly was not coming to our football club for the right reasons."

LOL, What a guy!

I was pretty impressed with this, it shows we're not going to be taken advantage of by players. We want people who buy into the 'idea' of City and what we want to achieve, players simply coming here for a big payday will be tossed by the wayside, and rightly so.

It's about time we had someone as eloquent and as business savvy as Cook representing the club. Maybe I'm chosing to believe his stance on the Kaka incident simply because he's City's representative, but in my opinion what he's saying and the points of view coming out of City seem more believable than those coming from AC Milan. The City standpoint seems backed up by logic and facts whereas the response from AC Milan is purely 'heart over head' thinking and lacks any real credibility.

Hmmm wonder who it was? Arshavin?

That would be my guess.

I am guessing Senna from all the snippets i have read. Ballague confirmed he was desperate to join us but his demands were ludicrous.

IMO I think that most players will only look at the money at the moment. Until we are playing Champions League football at least

Could possibly have been Tevez. Somebody has mentioned before about his 'sky high' demands.
Bearing in mind he's currently based in Manchester I'd doubt there'd be any need to fly out to Europe to meet him and his representatives!!!

HE is based in Manchester not his representatives. Kaka's father lives in Brazil but still represents his son.
