Copa America 2016 (Final: Argentina vs Chile - 27/06/16 @01:00 - pg32)

So the Copa America has come around again, opening game is tonight/tomorrow morning, only a years break from the last one because they wanted a 100 year anniversary tournament. Hopefully from now on it always falls during the same year as the Euro's (Edit: Upon checking: it doesn't, the next ones in 3 years). Travelling isn't as bad this year with the tournament based in the US. I don't know how much interest there is on here about it but its competitive football right? Only a few noteworthy games in the groups though.

We only have 2 players involved, Aguero & Otamendi, I don't know whether that means cheers them on or get them out early and home unscathed, particularly Kun. For me I hope he has a good tournament but if he's not on it, then he may struggle to get a game given the form of the other Argentine strikers. Surprised Fernandinho wasn't even picked, obviously not favoured by returning coach, Dunga, unless he's in the Olympic Squad.

Barely recognise anyone from Paraguay, they seem to have massively decline, Iturbe from Roma/Bournemouth is on the bench for them, always thought he was Argentinian.

Costa Rica have a man booked after 21 seconds.

Did any just see the play acting by Paraguay no 10. What an idiot. Why no yellow?

Yeah it was straight out of the Pepe play book, the refereeing rules need changing, anyone trying to con the referee should be sent off.

Paraguay well on top, they really should have scored a couple by now.

Not sure they've declined, they're quite a young team now but they've got a few very talented players in there. You're kind of right about Juan Iturbe too, he was born in Argentina but his parents are Paraguayan, he only accepted a proper call-up to Paraguay a few months ago.

It appears Ecuador were robbed last night, i've seen a couple of pictures to suggest the ball didn't cross the line as he shot/crossed. Keeper got away with one there.

Brazil were booed off the pitch apparently, their fans want entertaining football but if they keep trying to play like that then a scenario like they got against Germany happens. FWIW I hope their fans suffer after the disrespect they showed other teams at the World Cup.

The Ecuador goal should have stood. Don't see how the lino can see that ball out? Brazil fans were not happy. Brazil never looked to have a real chance on goal. The lad from PSG came closest.

1 goal in three games last night....glad I called it a night after the first game.

Think apart from watching Kun's lot I'll give the group games a miss zzzzzz.

N.19 is a good player. Plays for Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga. Reminds me of Tevez in his approach.
