The rules should be modified. He wasn't sent off as it was a coming together supposedly, by the letter of the law, but it was dangerous play as he used a weapon to knowingly injure an opponent.Ermmm..
You must not remember what he knowingly did to Debruyne in the chumps league final. Not going for the ball and instead using his mask as a weapon to take out our most dangerous player on the pitch. He should have gotten banned from the game after that. He's another that pretends to be a victim to excuse his abhorrent behavior.

I'd love just to see a ref turn to players with a Yellow and a Red card in each hand and say, get out of my face or else. Then hit the first with a Yellow, and if they continue get the Red straight away. Unfortunately though we live in times where players and clubs have all the power. Just look at what Real decided to do before this game with that video. They should have been fined by the Spanish FA for just doing that.The ref association in Spain should refuse to play a game with Real Madrid in it if there isn't serious action taken against them.
Refs are idiots imo because they hold the most crucial role in any sport and accept abuse week after week at every level. More fool them if they can't stand up.
Same could be said for every football player and manager. They shouldn't stand for abuse by a fellow player against the ref.
It drives me crazy as a coach of kids. I have the kids warned to be respectful before, during and after games towards refs regardless of anything they do. But fellow coaches can't shut their fucking mouths.
No ref should ever be subjected to abuse like last night.

Ban should start when he is fit for selection but of course most of the ban will be when he is out injured, but is anyone surprised. Even Bellingham got his red overturned.Madrid friendly ban for Rudiger I see.
