Copenhagen Away

Is it really £12 a pint? Been doing a bit of digging online and it seems typically more like £7-£8 a pint. I'm not saying there aren't any places that might be more expensive than that but from what I've heard although Copenhagen is expensive, it's not as expensive as Norway and you're looking at around a tenner for a pint in Norway.

It is expensive here and we do not have Wetherspoons but it is a great city and can be a little bit chilly in october 7 to 13 degrees celsius.
I found this website:
Now i will just have to hope that tickets go down to Cityzens members.
Enjoy you trip
Thanks for this. Heidi's Bier Bar is only a 13 minute walk from my hotel and looks like a decent place. Also, I see all beers on tap cost 29 DKK Sunday-Thursday before 10pm which is less than £4 a pint at current exchange rates. Any idea if you can just walk up and get in without having to book a table?

Fully expect in the Tourist areas to be fleeced but

There is a Heidi's Bier Bar in Cardiff. Part of the same group. I didn't think that was cheap though.

There is usually a Bar Bastardo with cheap beer somewhere
Not booked accommodation yet ... Best area to stay?

Last time we went it was £7 a pint but remember certain pubs giving you a free drink if you kept your receipt.
This was the day before the game mind you. They weren't doing it on the day of the game

Very helpful web link, thankyou.

Been a few times to Dansk but only seen us at Aalborg. It's a top country.

Not been for about 5 years, stay away from the water when drinking, if you can see water from the bar it's double the cost in the bars. Beautiful City but I normally stay with my English mate who lives in Odense it's a fair drive from there and trains are also expensive.

My advice would be drink in the room or mix sprits with soft drinks in a plain bottle from a Lidl.

Last time we played them we drank round the student area of the city it is cheaper by about a third if I remember rightly but to be honest I was half cut and it was -10 as well....its a great city as well and friendly and the coppers where pretty low key..

It's probably changed a bit since I was last there.
That was in 1971 for the replay against Gornik in the ECWC quarter final!
I remember chatting to some Gornik supporters near the Mermaid statue. They had lost their "minders" and had booked the ferry to Malmo to escape the communist regime. Now they could drive across to Sweden.
I've still got one of the magazines I "borrowed" from the club we went in. Pretty tame by today's standards.

Went the last time we played at there place, they had a whole stand to our right full of painted fans on cardboard, think the stand was getting rebuilt, if i remember correctly.

Anyone remember that big daft netting hanging down in front of us, quite sure a drunken blue started leaping on n off of it like spiderman?

Minus -20 after the match with that really fluffy type of snow.

Nice clean city all round n zero dog shit to be seen anywhere.

One funny observation of sorts that i had was, there seemed to be no children in the city on the day of the match, as if they were all banned from the streets of Vulgaria lol

Last time we found a student area just out of the city centre where beer was much cheaper in the bars. Also a lot of places had happy hours in the afternoon with 2 for one offers. Avoid the tourist traps.

It is nice to read that most people think that Denmark/Copenhagen is nice.
Denmark is one of the best places in Europe. Been to all City matches there. Aarhus is fantastic.
